Diphlu River Lodge stands on stilts beside the river, with Kaziranga on the far bank and no fence between the two. In season the lodge sells one plan, and it carries the whole day.
Our price is that plan for three nights. Six jeep drives, one each morning and one each afternoon, three meals a day, park entry and camera fees, and one of the lodge's own naturalists in the vehicle every time. Nothing is added at the desk. We book and pay the lodge for you, one booking and one payment, at the lodge's own price.
What you actually do
- Elephant safaris. The forest department sells them at the counter the evening before, so the lodge will try and cannot promise
- Getting to Kaziranga. Guwahati is about four hours by road and we can put a car on it
- Anything personal: drinks, the spa, laundry, tips

- A day on the Brahmaputra by country boat looking for dolphins, in place of the two drives. No extra charge, weather allowing
- A tea garden walk, a village visit, or a cycle through the mustard fields, arranged by the lodge manager

Good to know
The Jungle Plan runs from 1 November to 30 April, when the park is open. Kaziranga has three ranges and the forest department sets the routes, so the drives follow its allocation on the day.
A country boat on the Brahmaputra looking for Gangetic dolphins can stand in for a day's two drives, weather allowing, with the run to Silghat included.
Children under five stay free. An extra bed is ₹10,000 a night for anyone twelve or over and ₹8,000 for a child of eleven or under, all meals and the drives included.
Guwahati airport is 220km, about four hours by road. Jorhat is two and a half hours, Tezpur one. Drop-in visitors are not allowed at the lodge.
