Who we are
Indiaesque ("we") is a boutique-stays club and trip-planning service for India, Nepal and Sri Lanka. Contact for anything on this page: message us on WhatsApp via the site, or email privacy@indiaesque.com.
What we collect, and why
Club members: your WhatsApp number (to run your membership and send the weekly stay) and your answers to three joining questions (so what we send suits you). Enquiries and trip briefs: your name, contact details, travel dates, party size, budget band and message, because that's the trip you asked us to help with. Lead forms on Facebook/Instagram: the details you submit there (typically name, email, phone) reach us through Meta and are treated the same as an enquiry made here. We also note the approximate city your connection reports (never precise location); it helps us route your enquiry to the right person.
How it's protected
Member phone numbers and survey answers are stored encrypted; staff see masked numbers except where replying to you requires the real one. We never sell marketing lists. We do run advertising and analytics tags — the Meta pixel, Google Ads and PostHog — which is how we measure whether our advertising works; see Cookies below for what they set and how to refuse them.
When we share
One case, and it's the point of the service: when you ask for a tailormade trip, your brief is handled by the Indiaesque team; where our on-ground specialists help plan or run it, they receive your brief as our suppliers, working under our instruction. Beyond that: our infrastructure providers (Cloudflare hosting, Meta's WhatsApp service for messages) process data to run the service. We also use product analytics (PostHog, hosted in the EU) to understand how the site is used, and the Meta pixel, which helps us measure our advertising; both may set cookies. You can block either with any standard content blocker without affecting the site.
Your choices
Reply STOP on WhatsApp any time and membership messages end instantly. Ask us to delete your data and we will, fully. Nothing here requires an account or a password.
Cookies
Functional ones always: a session cookie if you're a member (so rates unlock), one for admins, and small ones remembering your currency choice. Beyond those, our analytics (PostHog) and the Meta pixel set cookies that help us see how the site is used and whether our ads work.
Our analytics also plays back how a page was used — where the mouse went, what was tapped, how far down you got. Anything you type is blanked out before it leaves your browser, so we never see a name, a number or a message this way, and member rates are blanked too.
If you're visiting from the UK or Europe we ask before any of those load, and nothing third-party runs until you say yes. Elsewhere they load by default. Either way you can change your mind here: , or block the lot with any standard content blocker without breaking the site.
