Dune Eco Village and Spa

Dune Wellness Group was built up over some fifteen years by its founder, a French national who ran an advertising agency in Paris in the 1990s. Dune Eco Village and Spa is its beach resort and wellness retreat on the Coromandel coast of Tamil Nadu, on the East Coast Road 14 km from Puducherry. Every house on the property was designed by a different architect, artist or designer, and many bungalows and much of the furniture are reclaimed from old colonial houses, Chettinad palaces and Kerala planters' mansions.

Sixty-two bungalows, rooms, suites, family houses and private pool villas are spread across 35 acres, no two the same. They run on solar hot water and LED lighting with organic linen, and some rooms have no air conditioning by design. The Dune Healing Center covers 12,500 square metres and holds ten treatment rooms, a large and a small yoga shala, an Ayurvedic pharmacy, a solar heated pool and a multi-gym.

F.U.N. Restaurant, short for Food U Need, and a seafood bar are supplied by a seven-acre organic farm with cows, a nursery, a rice field and a composting yard. The Beach Cafe faces the private beach and the main swimming pool.
