Evolve Back, Coorg sits at Karadigodu Post, Siddapur, on a working coffee and spice plantation in Karnataka. The resort is built in two architectural registers, and which one you choose changes the stay more than the price does.
Heritage Pool Villas are the property's own description of Kodava architecture at its luxurious best: red hand-cut laterite blocks, earthy hues and dark woods. Lily Pool accommodation takes its cue instead from the traditional homes found on plantations, with white washed mud walls, high ceilings and thatched roofs. A vintage four-poster bed with lace drapes is the centrepiece the resort puts forward.
There are five categories: the Heritage Pool Villa, the Lily Pool Villa, the Lily Pool Bungalow with twin bedrooms, the Lily Pool Cottage, and the Lily Pool Duplex across two levels. Every one has its own temperature-controlled private pool.

Kahani hides in twenty acres of hillside garden directly behind the sandy bay of Paradise Beach, on the Gokarna peninsula. There are just eight rooms and suites, all looking out at the Arabian Sea, with coastal cooking and plenty to do on and off the estate. The gardens are full of butterflies.
