Jaipur
After breakfast, the City Palace, Jantar Mantar and Hawa Mahal, then out to Amer Fort.
Jaipur to Bikaner
334 km, about seven hours. On arrival, Junagarh Fort and the Karni Mata temple at Deshnoke.
One night on the way north, with Junagarh Fort and the Karni Mata temple to see before dark.
Tonight you sleep at Maharaja Ganga Mahal.

Bikaner to Jaisalmer
330 km, about six hours, out into the Thar.
Two nights inside the desert city, with an evening out at the Sam dunes.
Tonight you sleep at Gulaal.
Built on Jaisalmer's own haveli architecture: two open courtyards, intricate jali screens, Mughal pillars and jharokhas in the Paliwal style. A traditional haveli to sleep in, with the comforts of a modern hotel, in the middle of the Thar.
Jaisalmer
The living fort in the morning, then Patwon ki Haveli and Salim Singh ki Haveli, and the tank at Gadisar. Out to the Sam dunes for the evening, and dinner at the camp.
Jaisalmer to Jodhpur
282 km, about five hours. The afternoon is yours.
Two nights under Mehrangarh, with a spa and gardens to come back to.
Tonight you sleep at Marugarh Resort & Spa.
A low-slung resort on the edge of Jodhpur: rooms and suites, a spa, a restaurant and a bar, and gardens to sit out in between the fort and the drive on to the next place.
Jodhpur
Mehrangarh, straight up out of the rock, and Jaswant Thada below it. The rest of the day in the old city.
Jodhpur to Pushkar
189 km, about three and a half hours. The Brahma temple, and the lake at dusk.
One night by the lake, and the Brahma temple.
Tonight you sleep at Kothi Pushkar.
The rooms take a family, all air-conditioned, each with its own bathroom, a desk and a wardrobe; some look into the garden and some over the town. There is a pool with a view over it, a spa, a sun terrace and an outdoor fireplace, and the wifi is free. Breakfast is a proper spread: continental, Italian, vegetarian or Asian, with juice, pancakes, cheese and fruit, and local dishes every day.
Pushkar to Udaipur
296 km, about five hours, into the hills.
Two nights to finish: the City Palace, Jagdish Temple, Saheliyon ki Bari and an hour on Lake Pichola.
Tonight you sleep at Vasant Vilas.
Three kinds of room: a superior deluxe with a jarokha window over the city, a king room with a balcony over the garden, and a junior suite with its own terrace and a view across Udaipur. Udaipur
The City Palace and Museum, Jagdish Temple and Saheliyon ki Bari. Late afternoon, an hour on Lake Pichola past the ghats, with the Lake Palace and the City Palace from the water.

This one runs 10 nights, which is 11 days counting the day you travel home, split between Jaipur, Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Pushkar and Udaipur. The length is fixed, but tell us if you want it changed and we will re-quote.
