Three days from a 200-year-old palace you reach by boat, with the aarti, the dawn on the river, the darshan and the old lanes all arranged around you. You come to be present. We take care of the rest.

BrijRama Palace stands on Darbhanga Ghat, reached only from the water — a palace raised in 1812, the second-oldest in Varanasi, its architecture a nod to the Marathas. You arrive by boat, step into the courtyard, and from then on the river is the view: from breakfast, from the Udayan terrace, from your room. It is one of the few places where the approach is as memorable as the arrival.

Arrive at the door by boat. The palace faces the river, so you come in off the Ganga rather than down a lane.

The evening aarti from the water. Out by boat to Dashashwamedh for the ceremony, then on past Manikarnika and back.

Sunrise yoga on the Udayan Terrace. With an instructor, above the river, before the city wakes.

Classical music twice a day. An Indian instrument or dance performance at the palace, morning and evening.

A guided three-hour heritage walk. Through the lanes behind the ghats.

As per government regulations, satellite phones and drone cameras are not allowed in Varanasi. Please ensure that you comply with these regulations while traveling to Varanasi.
