Family-restored since 1989 without a single new building, Rohet Garh is a lakeside classified Heritage Hotel of thirty-four individually decorated rooms, peacock-filled gardens and poolside dinners set to Rajasthani folk music.

Its signature village safari — a concept Rohet Garh pioneered — takes guests into the homes of rural western Rajasthan: the Bishnois, the world's original ecologists, who have guarded nature for over 500 years and whose villages the rare blackbuck antelope trustingly never leaves; the Raika shepherds in their glorious costume; and the Paliwal farmers and Meghwal weavers who complete this living portrait of desert life.
