Ask on WhatsApp"Thirty-six rooms and suites in a crescent-shaped palace of the early 1900s, built in the reign of Maharana Fateh Singh, with a courtyard pool inside the City Palace complex, Udaipur"
The crescent-shaped palace was built in the early 20th century, in the reign of Maharana Fateh Singh, who ruled from 1884 to 1930, and was reserved for visiting dignitaries and guests of the House of Mewar. It runs today as a Grand Heritage hotel under the HRH Group of Hotels, and has taken the National Tourism Award for Best Heritage Hotel in the Heritage Grand category several times.
There are 19 Palace Rooms, 8 Terrace Suites, 6 Royal Suites and 3 Imperial Suites. The suites carry original furniture and portraits that have been with the royal family for generations, and all of them look out onto the natural panorama of Udaipur. The swimming pool sits in the courtyard the crescent wraps around, in the City Palace complex.
Paantya, the multi-cuisine restaurant, is hung with original Mewar School paintings, gold latticework and antique chandeliers, and stands high enough on the complex to see over the city. The Panera bar, named after paani, has glass inlay work and ornate mirrors and sits by the Pool Deck. There is also the Panghat Spa, a billiards room and boats on Lake Pichola.
