Why we love it

"The Udaipur rooftop where the evenings are the point"

Udai Kothi is a modern hotel in traditional dress at Hanuman Ghat, a short stroll from Udaipur's old city and a world away from its noise.

The roof is the point: two pools, including the Dubki, the oldest rooftop pool in Udaipur by the house's own telling, with candlelit dinners beside the water and domes lit like lanterns.

Sixty four rooms and suites run from the generous Deluxe to the Udai Suite with its own plunge pool and lake view jacuzzi.
