Kanha is the park Kipling country was written about, and the Mukki gate is the quiet end of it. You drive the core in your own jeep with the lodge's naturalist, then come back to a hundred acres of forest that belong to the lodge rather than the reserve.

Singinawa Jungle Lodge
Twelve safari cottages with private verandahs, in a hundred acres of the lodge's own forest adjoining Kanha Tiger Reserve, near Kohka village. Two jungle bungalows stand apart from them: the four room Perch and the two room Wildernest.
The kitchen cooks with organic produce from the lodge's farms, and the Kanha Museum of Life and Art sits on the property.

Good to know
Every safari from the lodge runs through the Mukki gate. The Kanha zone is about a 45 minute drive from it and Kisli about 30, so on a three hour evening drive the lodge keeps you in Mukki rather than spending half the light in transit.
The jeep is priced per vehicle and seats up to six. A couple pays the same as a full jeep, so this is a good one to share with friends.
Safari permits are priced for Indian nationals. The forest department charges foreign nationals a higher permit rate, and we will quote it with your dates.
The Kanha Museum of Life and Art is on the property, and worth the hour between drives.
