Soulacia sits at Village Khatia, a two-minute drive from the Khatia entry gate on the Kisli side of Kanha. That is the whole point of it: the dawn drive starts at the front of the queue rather than forty minutes down the road, and you are back for chai while other people are still on the track.
The land it stands on held four trees in 2009. The resort was built on that barren plot and has grown into its own small ecosystem of birds, butterflies and greenery. Kanha itself needs no selling: Bengal tigers, leopards, sloth bears, wild dogs, and more than three hundred species of bird.

Soulacia Hotel & Resort
Accommodation is scattered rather than stacked. Eleven jungle cottages in two clusters, each with a private verandah and an en-suite bathroom, nine of them with open-air showers. Luxury tents stand in the grasslands with separate sitting and sleeping areas, and three air-conditioned safari tents suit photographers who want mod cons under canvas.
Two family villas run to two-bedroom suites with an 1,800 square foot living area. Two accessible chalets sit near the restaurant, designed for differently-abled and elderly guests, which is genuinely rare in an Indian jungle lodge. Dining is spread across the grounds: Bar A Singha over the pool and bamboo, Neelaambar for candlelit dinners under the stars, Azad Ki Grill for wood-fire barbecue around a bonfire, and Chai Tola pouring adrak chai for the post-safari debrief. The kitchen is farm to table and the resort runs on solar.

Jabalpur (JLR) is the nearest airport. The Khatia gate is the Kisli side of the park, two minutes away.
Kanha's core zone is closed on Wednesday afternoons. Safari seats are booked through the forest portal, which needs passport or Aadhaar details for every guest and full payment at least two days before the portal opens for your dates, so we ask for those early. We arrange the drives and put them in your quote.
Two accessible chalets are available near the restaurant if anyone in your party needs one.
The drive is a full jeep, not a shared seat. It holds six, so the price is the same for two of you as for six, and a second couple costs nothing extra on the vehicle.
A naturalist of the resort's own comes on a full-jeep drive when one is free, at no charge. We cannot promise it in advance.
