Why we love it

"Ten rooms among the pea fields of Mane in Spiti, facing the Manirang massif, with all meals and experiences in the price"

A doksa, in the Spitian dialect of Tibetan, is a seasonal settlement or pasture used by nomadic herders through the summer months. The hotel takes its name from that.

The Doksa is an eco conscious boutique farmstay set among the pea plantations of Mane in the Spiti Valley, with ten rooms and a restaurant looking out at the Manirang massif. The stay is designed as an all inclusive one, with meals and curated experiences included rather than added on.

The position gives uninterrupted views of Manirang at 6,600 metres, the Dhankar Monastery and the Spiti River. The valley changes hard with the seasons: summer is a green plateau with village life going on around it, autumn turns the whole valley gold, and winter brings stillness and solitude.
