Premkunj is a boutique property in the hills outside Udaipur, about twenty minutes from the main sights, which buys it quiet without cutting guests off from the city.
A ten minute walk leads to the lake. Its position near the Sajjangarh Wildlife Park means guests regularly see birds and deer, and on rare occasions a leopard or a panther. The hills wrap around the property, so the panorama is constant rather than something you go looking for.
The building is colonial in architecture with unusually spacious rooms, and the stay is built around wellness, horse riding on the property, and a set of signature experiences guests can pick from. It has been listed among a Top 25 Small Hotels in India selection of intimate hotels.
