Udai Bilas Palace

Udai Bilas Palace stands on Gaib Sagar lake at Dungarpur in southern Rajasthan, which puts the water at the foot of the building rather than in the distance.

The suites run from the Maharawal Suite through the standard and superior suites to art deco rooms, furnished with antique pieces and artwork and looking out over the surroundings. The palace also keeps the mews and the hangar among its buildings, and there is a swimming pool.

What sets Dungarpur apart is what sits around the palace. The Bijay Rajrajeshwar temple belongs to the property, and the Juna Mahal, the old palace of Dungarpur famous for its interiors, is the obvious excursion.
