New Nadis
Nadis calls itself a modern Kashmir house rather than a hotel: 18 large, sunlit rooms with cedar floors, carved ceilings and locally made furnishings, set in a big garden at Harwan village, opposite the public garden and a few kilometres from the Mughal gardens. There is a dining room, not a restaurant, serving Kashmiri home food with vegetables from their own plot, kahwa poured all day, and the hotel’s own team leads treks into the hills behind, where Dachigam sanctuary and the Mahadev trail begin.
