Udaipur
The drive south through the Aravallis, then two lake-city days; depart from Udaipur airport.
Where we stay in Udaipur →The long drive south, about 400 km through the Aravallis on good highway. Break the journey at Chittorgarh Fort or the temples at Nathdwara if the mood takes you; either way you arrive in Udaipur by evening with the lake lit up.
Udaipur on foot and by boat: the City Palace, a boat ride on Lake Pichola past the Lake Palace, the old city ghats and Jagdish Temple. Sunset from a rooftop is compulsory; where is your choice.
A slow morning, then the car takes you to Udaipur airport for your flight home. No backtracking: you fly out of the city you wake up in.
