Arrive Jaipur
Your driver meets you at Jaipur airport and the car is yours for the day. Settle into your haveli, then ease in gently: Hawa Mahal at golden hour, dinner near the walled city.

On the Delhi–Jaipur highway at Kukas, a short run from Amber Fort, Umaid Residency styles itself 'A Regal Heritage Home', Rajasthani decor, antique-styled furniture and 18th-century portraits in the restaurant, at deliberately affordable rates. Rooms come with VRV air-conditioning (heated in winter), electric kettles and safes; the draw is the rooftop swimming pool with Aravalli hill views, pitched for morning swims and sunset lounging. Jaipur
A full day in the pink city with the car at your service. Amber Fort in the morning before the coaches, the City Palace and Jantar Mantar after lunch, and the bazaars of the old city (block print, blue pottery, jewellery) as the light softens.
Jaipur to Udaipur
The long drive south, about 400 km through the Aravallis on good highway. Break the journey at Chittorgarh Fort or the temples at Nathdwara if the mood takes you; either way you arrive in Udaipur by evening with the lake lit up.

Tonight you sleep at Boheda Palace.
Hotel Boheda Palace is a heritage-style haveli at 9 Lake Palace Road, Udaipur, near the Gulab Bagh gardens and a walk from the Old City's sights. Rooms are done in traditional haveli style, the premium categories keeping a gokhara, the carved alcove seat of Rajasthani houses. A multi-cuisine rooftop restaurant looks over the city's skyline, and the desk arranges horse safaris, cooking classes, guides and ticketing.
Udaipur
Udaipur on foot and by boat: the City Palace, a boat ride on Lake Pichola past the Lake Palace, the old city ghats and Jagdish Temple. Sunset from a rooftop is compulsory; where is your choice.
Depart Udaipur
A slow morning, then the car takes you to Udaipur airport for your flight home. No backtracking: you fly out of the city you wake up in.
